Q: What’s the point of being photographed in this way?
Through my experience of photographing women, what began to emerge surprised me—the healing that surfaced when women allowed themselves to be seen through my lens.
In my sessions, I noticed that women began to feel safe to express themselves, their inner worlds, that are often hidden in their everyday lives, these worlds beneath worlds began to emerge freely. Whether bold + loud or quiet + still, I watched as these women touched their soul, and allowed me to capture them there.
Q: Whats it is like during our session?
“A session with Liza almost always starts with a joke. Instantly dissipating some of the nerves that come with being in front of a camera. She works with your instincts and inclinations, rather than giving suggestions that feel unnatural. Also, Liza always has some music going that help with the flow of posing and moving in front of the camera, and always asks what music makes you feel good. She definitely caters to your comfort. Due to all of this, when you get your photos back, they are stunning. Liza is not only good at all of the complicated moving parts of taking a photo but she is exquisite in the art of capturing your essence. When I’ve gotten pictures back from her I’m always so surprised at the way she can capture such original shots while also reflecting my true self. I recommend her to EVERYONE. 11/10” - Natalia
Q: What was it like seeing yourself in the photographs?
“Liza works within a connection. Upon meeting, we needed to warm up to one another for her to get to fully "see me". The end result was flattering to get to see what she captured, who she captured, and the essence of who I want the world to see me as. In our experience together we wandered to find just the right settings for the sun to kiss my face and capture the beauty of the moment.
